Yes they do! I remember my very 1st dog when I was 11 hiccuping in his sleep when he was about 8 wks old. I thought he was having a fit, ran to get my Mum who shot in to look at him and was so relieved it was nothing more serious than hiccups :D

My 5 month old pup gets hiccups regularly. They don't last long and don't seem to bother her. My older dog rarely gets them so maybe it's more common in pups?

i think it is a young puppy thing.... kai used to always be hiccuping, you only had to look at him and he'd be off.... now that hes 7 1/2mths old its rare i see it anymore :-)

A trainer I know swears pups hiccup more when they are going through a growth spurt and it was a sign you should be checking their collars....

Poppy has hiccups most mornings - first time it happened she looked at me as if to say "what is it?"!!

Yes and it does seem to be more a puppy thing, although thats not to say an adult won't get them.
My JR pup used to have them on and off all day.  Now he is 7 months it is a very rare occurence.  But my 11 wk old Rottie x GSD has taken over where he left off LOL

My deerhound used to get hiccups when he was a puppy , just after he had eaten. Didn't last long
doesn't happen any more.
