Do you think some people genuinely believe they can sing.  I am watching the repeats and some of the people genuinely do look shocked they cant sing.  The only time I sound good is when Robbie is on the CD player full blast in the car which basically drowns my own voice out!

Have you been watching the X-Factor, the one tonight was hilarious some real awful people !  I do think the judges can be a wee bit harsh though, I know they need to hear the truth for their own good but tack and diplomacy should play a big part in telling them that if the world could only be saved by singing then we are doomed :)

Do you mean the X faxtor?

I LOVE it .....HAHAHAHA some folks have NO idea of how bad they are do they bless :) Simon Cowell ROCKS
- By Boxer Mum Date 03.09.05 19:41 UTC
Yep the X-whatever :)   Simon Cowell is a real nasty and that's why we all watch it (and why some audition) but just lately Louie has tried to be nasty and it doesn't quite work as he isn't funny with it - good old Sharon for chucking the drink over him, mind you she's probably had a lot of experience of that with Ozzy :)

But some people, they really do think they can sing and entertain - the look of real horror on their faces makes me crack-up LOL

I've never seen it before tonight but was thoroughly entertained!  I even watched the ITV2 version!

>Simon Cowell ROCKS

Absolutely..........he was brilliant on American Idol too.

Can't wait until they get to boot camp.

I like this bit for all of the poor people who get told their dream just isn't going to come true, some of them are hilarious, but I prefer it when it gets down to the nitty-gritty and the good people are fighting it out :D I am a bit like some of these bad singers that give it a go anyway, so I like singing along to all the songs, in the comfort of my own home, and not on national television!!!

And, I have a great bit of useless info for you, my eldest sister was in the same class as Kate Thornton at school!!! ;) :P

There's definitely something attractive about millionare Simon Cowell :D

I thought he was especially good tonight - he is soo cutting "You wouldn't win if you were the only one who entered" LOLOLOL

Have to admit there is something rather sexy about him. You gotta admire the guy for his honesty and he's not in it to make any friends is he ??  Can you imagine how if he was a judge at a dog show how folks would react to his critiques.

LOL - 'sorry but your dog wouldn't win crufts if he was the only one who entered' I can just imagine how that would go down, I'd bite his kneecaps :D

Actually Simon Cowell is a great animal lover and Louie Walsh has been heard to say that Simon gets on with animals a lot better than people, so you'd probably find he was very tactful!  :D

You have to admit that the comments are harsh but true in every case although I think Louie having the deciding vote is sometimes letting through some rubbish to spite Simon!   Anyone who enters X-factor knows they may meet the judges so why the aggro when they get told that they are rubbish?

Cos they're on TV :D
- By Boxer Mum Date 04.09.05 08:47 UTC
I thought it was a tad embarrasing when they actually 'begged' to get through !

But the one that really had me in hysterics was the spanish girl - poor Sharon, she pee'd herself laughing and they let her through LOL :D

In answer to the original Q  - Yes sadly there are some people who genuinely believe they are fantastic singers while actually being appallingly bad   I know someone who really believes she is the most amazing singer and takes every opportunity to 'prove' it   truth is she just can't see that everyone is in pain and laughing their socks off, she thinks its because she's sooo good   and goes to every Karaoke night in town and quite a few in other towns, she also insists on singing at parties and christmas do's

I suppose that's what makes the programme such good entertainment, I notice that the amount of arrogance about their talent is in direct inverse proportion to their ability :D :D :D

..that priest had quite a good voice - did he get through ? I can't remember if he did or not.
- By Missie Date 05.09.05 15:42 UTC
