i bet some of you will disagree with me, but i don't really agree with the way some celebs treat their dogs as a fashion accecory. people like paris hilton and britney spears acrry their little dogs around in handbags and put them in dresses. i wouldn't be surprised if they painted their pooches claws/nails whatever you call them. and going to all them parties with loud music wouldn't do their sensative ears any good. maybe i'm over-reacting but thats my view of it! tell me your opinion

I won't deny that my dogs are my babies (and very spoilt ones at that ;-) ) but they do still get to act like dogs! They can run around, get dirty, eat dog food out of a normal dog bowl etc!!  I hate to see these celebrity dogs get carried everywhere - they do have 4 legs you know!! I read somewhere that Britney Spears had to buy a chest of drawers for all her dog's clothes - now that is worrying LOL. My boys have santa hats and coats for xmas time but that's it ;-)

Although I think what they do is wrong, I think its more a case of lack of education. They think that as they have all this money and love their dogs they can pamper them and spoil them in this way and its good for them. It's a shame they dont have a look at a site like this and actually learn the proper way to look after their babies :)

I spoil my dogs terribly, but just by loving them to bits, not by dressing them up, carrying them everywhere, or feeding them until they look like furry balloons!!

The thing is, do they love them? Paris Hilton was reported recently to have gotten a second dog, and has since never been since with her first 'baby', that doesn't sound like love to me!

In my eyes they have them as little play things that will soon be forgotten, maybe I'm being cruel but why would anyone want to dress their dogs up like that?

My dogs are also spoilt, by getting dirty, jumping into smelly pools, going for lot's of runs etc. :d  And I'm sure that they like nothing more than seeing my face when I've got a lovely clean top on that all of a sudden is covered in muddy pawprints!

Apparently Paris Hiltons first dog got too big, its been quoted as she only likes them when theyre small and tinkerbell got too big.She been sent to live with hermum while she gets a smaller dog. It really disgusts me!

Will smith and Jada Pinkette have a couple dogs , they do love them though even hiring behaviour specialist cesar millan. Paris hilton on the other hand, her chihuhahahhsuh looks dead!

I always thought Paris Hilton to be a bit of an airhead.... maybe she thinks these poor little doggys are handbags with legs :rolleyes:

There was a thing in the Sunday magazine last week about celebs who'd got bored and cast their pets off in favour of either a baby (Angelina Jolie collects babies like fashion accessories - she seems to want one in each colour!) or a new husband. Madonna, Britney, Paris Hilton, Geri Halliwell... long list of them!

Sick sad little people. Shows you that money can't buy you a life.

JMO, but I think that was a bit harsh on A.J. she has saved those kids from a hellish life, and probably from death. I do wonder just how much of a "normal" happy childhood they will have, but at least they will be safe and as healthy as any other child can be. As I said just my opinion and you are entitled to your own! :D

Yeah i'm sure AJ doesn't just pick the babies out of a litter :D , she adopts them from 3rd world countries. She only has one adopted little boy right now so i wouldn't say she collects them like accesories...

She adopted a little girl recently too. I can't remember which country in Africa she was from, though. I read that the baby's grandmother was raising her because her parents were both dead but the grandmother couldn't afford to take care of her any more. I don't think we can knock someone for choosing to give a home to orphaned children, whatever their race. Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman adopted a mixed race child and I don't remember anyone slating them for it.

This morning an childrens TV the presenter had a puppy with her, I think it could have been a Pyreneen puppy , but did not watch just caught a glimps at the end.

Anyone else see this and know the breed

You're probably right as I often think the worst about people, but she was one of the culprits of dumping a pet when she adopted the little Cambodian boy. (I think the girl is Ethiopian as somebody was asking).

Oh well, at least the kids will just get shipped off to boarding school if the novelty wears off.
