What are the chances of a bitch being pregnant first time mating for both dogs, Is it true that not all matings lead to pups. And what are the signs to look out for if she is?

There is a VERY good chance your bitch could be pregnant :(   You were strongly advised under your previous thread HERE to return to the vet with your bitch following the second accidental mating.  Did you take her back?

it is true that not  all bitches will have pups from a mating but if the bitch was mated at the right time she will go on to have pups,all dogs are different some show signs that they are in whelp early,some later,but usually you won't really know till 3 1/2- 4 weeks,when they can be scanned.

I took my girl to the vets when she was about 10 days pregnant she had a bad paw and the vet said theres a good chance she is pregnant because her mammory gland was swollen, when she was 28 days i took her back for a check up and my vet couldnt feel any pups so thought she was having a phantom pregnancy, when she was 40 days i was sure he was wrong so i took her back and he still couldnt feel any pups so he decided to arrange for a blood test i got the results back and yes she was expecting and 6 days later she gave birth.
I knew she was though i could tell by the changes in her, she became very clingy, didnt want to go outside and became very tired on her walks. Sometimes you just know no matter what anyone else says.

Yes I did take her back and she got another injection but I have read that these injections do not work sometimes and could increase the chances, if the bitch is having pups that they could be deformed. I was just wanting to know the signs so I know what to look for and when just in case.

All but one of the bitches that I have mated got pregnanat their first time, and the one that didn't was tried with an older male who was later found to no longer be fertile.
