have you read the breed standard for the breed, there is no such colour as a chapagne colour in staffords!
a blue colour is a result of breeding black to black for years resulting in washed out black (blue)and usually have pigmentation faults.

sorry but there is no such thing as a champagne blue stafford, if some1 said that they have 1 or you see a litter for same and they use this colour then they are just strining you along.  staffs do come in blue but only blue no champagne blue.
ppl might be using it to call there light blues a nice colour.  if you are looking for a blue try to get 1 that is nice and dark and watch for light eyes

i think champagne blue is a new fad thats used to describe very light blues or blue fawns. there are some advertised for four figure sums!

I always thought that the blue-fawn was a hound colour  Can't say I've ever seen a fawn Staffy, although the colour is mentioned in the KC breed standard.

Hate to hear of people being fleeced because of a plausible con :(

I would imagine it is a poor blue brindle so therfore having the fawn tones.  As Brindle pattern seems to be the predominant colour in staffs (even though many look to be black) then I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the blues having the brindle pattern.

Brainless, you've reminded me of the Pit Bulls that someone used to keep around here, one of those was the most gorgeous blue brindle, really well marked and coloured, not too light or dark, just gorgeous.  The other was fawn with a blue-ish mask, also very nice but the blue brindle was really eye catching.

I onlyu like Brindle if it is nice and clear and sistinct.  some of the whippets are gorgeous in this colour, but others are wishy washy.

some blue collies ive seen, defintally have a sort of "tinge" to them, mainly the ones who have been the result of a blue to black mating,as  opposed to a blue-blue ones.the tinge could defintally be described as champagne i suppose although ive not heard it done so untill now

someone I know has just had a litter of 9 staff pups and 4 of them were fawn. The mum was brindle and i think the dads classed as a blue (tho i'm not 100% on that as i've never seen the dad). The fawn pups were snapped up soooooo quick  which i found surprising as i thought the breed standard states that fawn is undesirable??

Edited to say i just checked and its not fawn its liver coloured thats undesirable. Whats the difference?
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 02.09.05 09:09 UTC
Fawn is a pale brown (sort of beige), and liver is a dark brown, like chocolate.

ohhhhhh ok thanks JG I always thought they were a similar colour lol :D
