Hi All does anyone know anything about the breed Curly coated retriever?

I ask because down at the pool in Sutton park today I met a C-C-R he was a stunning dog bigger than a flat coated retriever I think.

But he was a stunning dog really impresive to look at and a dignified dog he was called Nemo which was a good choice for a water breed.

I've owned a curly coat , his name was squiggle. They have a tempermant very similar to field line golden retreivers , very playful but laid back at the same time. Really jumpy and hyper and love to fetch. Im not really sure what you wanted to know but... thats all i got to say about them :p

The ones I ahve met in the UK seem pretty laid back and calm though great clowns, not as hyper as the flatcoats I ahve met, but of ciurse that could just be the dogs I have met.

Hi Kazz,

The head behaviourist of James Wellbeloved has a gorgeous curly coated retriever. She is a really nice lady and am sure can give you more info on the breed. Hers was very calm and relaxed, not to mention gorgeous!

You can contact them on http://www.wellbeloved.co.uk/ and just ask them to forward your query to the head behaviourist there (I can't remember her name).

All the best,
Patty
