Good Afternoon,
My family and I are considering this breed of dog as a family pet but having never bought from a breeder before do not really know what to expect.
We have had dogs before [adult rescue dogs from the RSPCA] but never puppies.If any one can advise we would be grateful.
Specifically we would ideally like two dogs, should we have one then introduce the second dog? or would it be better to just buy a pair?
Would two dogs of same sex be better or not?
Can anyone recommend a breeder in our area [North Kent] or should we buy dogs fiurther North where prices could be lower?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi! Definitely don't get two puppies at the same time! If you're not used to them, one is bad enough - two together is a nightmare for experienced puppy people. :) The best plan is to buy one, train it to a standard you're happy with and then get another (probably when the first is about 18 months old and past the 'teenager' stage).

To find reputable breeders, contact the breed clubs listed at the bottom of the Breed Standard and ask all about health tests, and breeders who abide by the clubs' and KC's Codes of Ethics.
