Hi I live in Yorkshire and will be doing the show on Saturday, I just wondered if going straight down the M1 and going across the M45 would be quicker than M42/M40 then up A46. Ive not done this show before can anyone help me out.

Hi,

I can't really help you with which will be quicker, or which is shortest, but if I were you, I would be avoiding the M1 at all costs!!! I hate that motorway with a passion!!!

Try the RAC or AA's website I think both have a route planner :D

I live about 5 mins from Stoneleigh and would advise M40 and A46 - this will take you right through to the show ground no probs ;)

By aeroplane :d  Sorry in a silly mood today, sorry I can't help you, sure that there will be someone who can though !

I would suggest M1 - M69 - A46 - then getting off and going via Ryton and through Bubbenhall

I was reguarley travelling from Leamington (lived 5 mins from the NAC) up to Yorkshire for college and this was the route I took  - M69 is usually quite pleasent and isnt quite as heavy as the M42

If you want further directions I would be happy to give them

het
how long roughly did it take you,I would be greatful if you could help me out with the directions so i can plan my time carefully because my class is the first one at 9am.

It would take me roughly 2 1/3 hours on average between Leamington and Beverley (140 miles) - and I think I worked it out to be about 2 hours from the M1/M18 junction - coming in for 9am on a weekend should be pretty simple although if its on the friday it could take anything upto an extra half an hour to get through one of the roundaboutson a bad day and with event traffic.

I will do some directions tomorrow as I cant remember the road numbers off the top of my head

Heather

Just seen your name and assume you are showing on Saturday so there should be no problems with traffic

The NAC is pretty well signposted from the nearby roads

I was at the NAC over the weekend for the Town and Country so there were no dog show signs up yet - but if I remember correctly some do usually do go up - although may be not as many for other shows - but then the NAC has pretty good permanent road signs

Hi
Try this website. I use it for all the shows and it hasn't let me down yet.

The A46 and the A45 are both the same sort of distance from the showground and are both as straight forward. Check it out on the link above. The M40 is a slightly straighter route as you get straight off the M40 onto the A46 and Stoneleigh is the 3rd exit off that. From there just follow the signs to Stoneleigh Park. It's about 7 mins from the A46.
I work on the showground and live just down the road. I actually travel in on the A45 as I live just off it. I have to admit I haven't seen any signs yet but I will have a look today when I go home from lunch. Stoneleigh Park however is well signposted.

Hello Again.
Just driven home for lunch down the a45. Still can't see any signs, however, drove back up the a46 and there are signs from the leamington turnoff bringing you all the way to the showground and the correct carpark.  The turn off from the a46 is the third one after you've got on the a46 from the m40 (heading for coventry)
If you haven't been down here before I would come in on the M40 route as there are some roadworks at both ends of the a45 bringing it down to one lane. So even at the weekend there could be hold ups.
