An expereinced stud will know.  You may want to arange to take her earlier and see what he thinks.  It is probably too late to start on premate testing as you need to start the tests when you know your are likely to get a negative (baseline) result.

my stud dog is in wales, iam in liverpool and hubby works till 7  what do u think about the bleedin does it go lighter towards the end of her season

I have never been able to rely on colour of discharge ever.  I ahve had bitches bleed bright red to end of seasons and other seasons where I have had no blood after first day or two.  Without testing ehr hormone levels you only have behaviour to go on, whcih at times can be way off.

I ahve jsut had a bitch here for mating that has been showing readiness in behviour since day 10, but wasn't physically capable of being mated (vulva had not softened and opened up) until day 16.  Mted days 16, 17 and 18, and time will tell if she has a litter.

I have also had a bitch ready but unwilling to be mated at any price.

so my best bet is to go to the stud earlier and just see if she wants to. her behaviour is quite calm today shes sunnin it in the garden but usualy quite bouncey and turmenting my other two.. her behind doesnt look as swallen as my other bitches thow!!

The extent of swelling in my experience is not the issue, it is the fact that the vulva will softena dn the are aroudn it will no longer feel hard.  Some bitches get quite big and others seem hardly to be much more obvious than when out of season.
