Could any of your members please help, I have been assured that this is the breed of dog for which I am looking for, it is the long haired dog on the front of bakers complete food. I would greatly love to buy one as I have fallen in love with it. Thanking you with baited breath. I do hope someone can help please.#

I suggest a trip to the local dogs home, this is a crossbreed not a breed.

I think the dog, Pippin is just a cross breed, although you could email Ann Head who owns him and find out if she knows what breeds there are in there.
Really you have two options. Keep looking in rescue centres for similar crossbreeds (they are out there), or go and buy a tibetan terrier or a bearded collie, as they are the two closest to 'Pippin-a-likes'.
Good luck!

I think for size the Tibetan Terrier and the Polish Lowland sheepdog would be your best bet. both are trainable lively breeds which are good family dogs.

I don't think Pippin has any Bearded Collie in there ! I've met a Bearded Collie x Tibetan Terrier recently and it was much much larger, and had a much coarser coat, the head and bone was also much heavier. I've often wondered if Pippin was a Lowchen or a Tibetan Terrier (I used to own one) they wouldn't necessarily say if he was pedigree ;) (not wishing to start a 'Dulux' type craze ;) )
PS you can also get a 'Pippin' fix on one of the childrens programmes (Lady in spotty aeroplane and Pippin :D can't remember what its called tho)

Just read your post (don't always get time to look). My dog, Molly, is a rescue dog that we think is a bearded collie x - she looks a lot like Pippin from the telly programme! Keep looking at the rescue dog sites, they have some lovely dogs just longing for good homes.
