Hi
It's perfectly normal for puppies to be a few days early, so this is probably the start. However she can be panting and nesting for 36 hours before she actually starts having contractions and giving birth. This is when you DO need to stay with her all the time as you don't know WHEN she will start. It's the reaosn for why whelping bitches is so exhausting, you usually get at least a couple of nights with no sleep. Good luck!

Ditto what Marianne has written I never left my bitches alone in the last two weeks & to be honest they wouldn't let me go out of sight

Best of luck & please join & keep us informed I love puppy news(just had my new puppy 4 weeks today)

Either bring her into yout room or get a sleeping bag beside her. Do not leave her unattended.
