Candybaby,
If there is puss there is infection - you don't need advice, your dog needs antibiotics - get her to a vet, an alternative one if your prefer, but no later than first thing in the morning.
Good luck, keep us posted, Teri
thanks teri,i will take her first thing.its just that shes my first dog,and i followed my vets advice, and now feel i made a mistake.i have contacted my emergency vet who just said clean it up and bring her in tomorrow.i should of knew better as i had to take her to the vets when she was 4mths,due to her swallowing a stone from the garden.she never passed faceces for two days so i took her to the vets told him i thought she could of swallowed a stone he felt her tummy and said he didnt think so.he gave her stuff to try and make her go,but that night she became very ill so i contacted the emergency vets who told me to bring her in first thing.when i did i had to leave her there so she could be x-rayed.i picked her up that night and was told there was no blockage, and it could be down to the weather or a tummy bug.she was given antibiotics and i paid £120.we left the vets and got about 20feet down the road when she took some sort of fit.i ran her straight back in and had to pay £25 more to be told it was the anesthetic wearing off.that night she was so ill i thought she was dying,so i slept on the sofa with her,to be woke by her crying at 5.30.she went out side and finally went passing out a stone about 2inches in size.so i hope you can understand why i asked for advice first.

Hi again,
Your vet certainly doesn't sound like one I'd have for my own :( After you've had the current problem attended to, I'd recommend looking for another one within easy travelling distance - it's always better to not go too far afield in case you want to seem them a.s.a.p. and you have a long drive or one that gets you caught up in heavy traffic etc ;)
I'm sure your puppy will be OK when the wound heals properly. Pups - cute and crafty, always in bother and worrying us! But where we would be without them :P
Good luck, Teri
well i took her to another vet she has a bad infection.he is treating her with heavy pain killers and antibiotics.I have to take her back on thursday for a check up to see if its clearing up, if not he might have to open her up again.fingers crossed.

Fingers are most certainly crossed.
