My puppy is 11months old and is just going through her first season which seems to be lasting forever. she finishe bleeding completly 3 days ago  (after a gruling 3 weeks which i have just put down to being her first one as my other bitch never went on that long) is she safe to be let out alone now as i live in a rural part of spain she is safe to roam a liitle with her brother who lives next door they never wonder too far i just worried about her getting pregnent as she is only a baby herself.

Can I just say, your other bitch DID go on that long. It's just that the colour changed, and at that point she is MORE likely to be caught by a male than at any other. You need to protect your bitches from unwanted male attention for a minimum of 21 days and 28 to be absolutely sure.

Your other bitch no doubt was in season for the usual 3 weeks, but was one of the ones where the discharge became pale when she entered her fertile time. Your new bitch sounds like one of mine, who bled continually for the full season. Her last litter was born after matings on days 18 and 20 of the season.

Give her a good wash, as well as all her bedding, and wait another few days to be on the safe side before you let her loose with a male dog.
