I suggest you 'become' allergic to them and for the sake of your nasal passages suggest he buys a different type next time!

Hate them and OH knows that ! :D
Is your OH trying to get in your good books ?
Lucy
xx

Always consider them funeral flowers (they are in Poland wher my family hail from) so I don't like them either.
Maybe just tell him you really like whatever other flowers.
My favouties are Fresias.
Thanks Brainless, but a few years ago, i told him not to buy me roses on Valentines Day cos they were such a rip off, so he bought me no flowers at all
Edited to add: Lucy, since I took Brad Pitt as my lover ;) (dream dream dream) he's always trying to get in my goodbooks :D

Why not leave it a while and then tell him what flowers you really adore ;) and why, that way he might remember next time :D
I love scented flowers, because they work harder :D :D

I think that you just have to be honest with him :) My hubby knows not to buy me flowers - I think that they are a terrible waste of money :D :D He did buy me a bunch of gladioli on Friday - but they were only 49p a bunch (reduced) in Sainsbury's :D

Say thankyou then put them somewhere hot so they wither away rather quickly then comment on how those flowers dont last long but your favourite flowers last twice as long etc..... he might buy what you want next time as he might hope they will last longer so keeping you happy longer :D
Have to ask... what has he done wrong??? flowers usually a sign of a guilty concience... lol ;-)

Ditto
As a former florist the water in chrysanths absolutely stinks to high heaven after a few days. What you could do is accidently tip some over him or near him then I can assure you he will not be too keen to buy them again.
Personally speaking I would be grateful for any flowers these days.
I have a hubby who always buys 'mums'. When I asked him why he had the cheek to reply because tehy are cheep and last ages :Grr:
We went to Tesco on Saturday, hubbie says "Do you want some flowers?" I say "Eh? What? Did you just ask if I wanted some flowers?" "Yes" he says, looking shocked and suprised at my reply, then it clicked why, and I said "The clubcard vouchers came in the week didn't they?" "Yes" he said looking a little like a naughty school boy!!! Cheak of it  I made him buy me a lovely bunch of Tesco Finest flowers, a huge box of chocs and a bottle of v.v.v. expensive champange to make up for it!!! My treats came to nearly £50 and the vouchers only came to £17.50 :D :D :D :D LOL that will teach him!!!
LOL Nat are they all the same? We are looking at refitting the kitchen and whilst he hasnt said NO to anything yet I just know that the plasma tv will not be sacrificed and it is ME that spends all of my time in the kitchen and I couldnt give a fig for it
Oh I got out of the plasma screen 'discussion' we had!! I told him there was no way I was going to change the telly until the dog is older - little does he know that once this pup has matured, the second pup will be 'shipped in'!!! :P
I don't dis-like the plasma screens, but our telly is less than 4 years old, and that cost over £1000, plus the unit that the telly sits on is an expensive unit from India, but a plasma screen would look stupid on it, so it would need changing, and so I don't want to get a plasma screen. We have been looking at getting a smaller LCD telly for the kitchen, we have a large portable in there at the moment but it takes up a lot of room on the side, and there isn't enough free wall space to put it on a bracket. They start at about £300 so we can probably get quite a decent one for about £400/£500.
Well when he said about a nice wall mounted flat screen I thought it sounded great. However it has grown somewhat from what I first imagined and now appears to include a dvd and surround sound.
These boys just dont know when to stop when it comes to toys :D
The surround sound is great - highly recommend it to everyone! It does take a little while to get used to, but when you are watching a film or listening to music, it is worth every penny! Our neighbours must hate us though!!!
Nat much to the cats disgust we already have surround sound in the living room! You should see them shoot out of a lap when a helecopter comes round behind :D
Our cat has never been bothered by it, infact she likes to sit on top of the sub-woofer

The only time it has ever annoyed me was a few weeks ago, my son had CBeebies on and they had a bee buzzing around, of course I was on CD not taking any notice of the telly, I could hear this buzzing and it was really getting on my wick, so I got up to get the fly spray and then realised it was on the telly  :D

what is it about PLASMA screens my hubby wants one too.........Definitely a man thing.
As for the flowers I'd just tell him the thought was lovely but theyre not my favorite flower then if he has a brain he will ask what your favorite really is ....knowing my OH if he was going to part with his cash he'd much prefer it to be on something I liked........were at the stage now after many years where he would say pick the ones you like and lets get out of here!!!!!! he he he he
Roni
flowers.... i rarely get any of those yet one day the neighbour complained of the noise my drunk mate made one night so he went and bought her a huge bunch of flowers to say sorry.... i was NOT amused lol
When i started going out with my oh he used to bring me chocs all the time and always the ones i didnt like so i went out and bought my own fave ones and the next time he came round i asked him if he would like one and when he said no i said good cause they are my fave and didnt want to share them and since that day hes got me them! :-)
