decided on friday to have an inpromptue holiday to cornwall. So begged borrowed and theived everything I need to camp, with 2 dogs 2 kids and me for maybe 4 days maybe 14. What ever takes my fancy and where ever takes my fancy!!!!!

going down top penzance at 8 am tommorow morning. less than 2 days to get everything ready I must be MAD!!!!!1

meeting mate down there. she is there with a mate of hers and 2 other friends. I normally go on holiday with her but couldnt this year,. but have anyway!!! lol

Hey Lea, I hope it all goes well!  I've taken your lead, checked the forecast and decided to brave the elements and go to North Devon with one child and one dog!

I've never been camping on my own before and have a new tent that hopefully I can erect!

All I have to do is find a campsite - preferably near to the sea without a slot machine in sight please!

Well got back Last night. 12 days away :D :D :D
How on earth I got everything in the car with room for the dogs to lay down, i have no idea!!!!!
Mate replaced the dog crate that she ruined, and it was big enough for both dogs to be in there at night and when it was cool enough to leave them in there so i could nip to the shops!!!!(gemma hasnt been in a crate for 2 years and Beano hasnt since I got him, but they were no problem. Now the crate is back being used for the house rabbit(now thats another story!!!!)
Gemma feels it now tho, bless her, she isnt used to the hills and steps so the Arnica has been out.
Biut I have got back so relaxed and happy.
Read 2 1/2 books while there :D :D :D
And kids behaved themselves great.
The first time I have ever taken the dogs on hols and they took to it like ducks to water,. they were fantastic.
Now just got to work out who I borrowed what off and get it back to them, and do all the washing!!!!!!!!

i didnt realise how much my dogs were 'into me'
I went to where a mate was camping and she took Beano a few times while i had Gemma while we went to various places together.
well we went to Tintagel. And as I wasnt that confident with Gemma going up and down the steps of the castle I took Gemma to keep an eye on her and Lucy took Beano. Even tho Gemma walks perfectly and Beano still pulls a bit when he is somewhere new
Well would Beano go up the steps. He kept looking round to find me and wouldnt move unless I was 1 step behind him!!!!!! And he was the same walking around the town!!!!!
Gemma was the same. If I left her with Lucy and took Beano, Then Gemma would be looking for me and not settle till I came back!!!!!
When I was walking them together, they walked perfectly!!!!!!

Glad to hear your trip went well.  Saffy is 'my' dog and will not even let anyone else hold her lead if I am around.  We took her camping to North Devon earlier this month for the first time and tethering her on the site was a bit of a nightmare - she wanted to be stuck to my side like glue and would not settle unless I sat next to her
