I am in serious poo I have just ruined my husbands lucky trousers which he has won a lot in recently! Does anyone else have lucky items. I have lucky earings, Lucky jeans which I cant wear when I go with him because they are so tatty.
If he loses tommorow I might as well kiss my life goodbye. ;)

No but I SWEAR by the magpies! If I see a single one on our way to a show, we've had it! ;) 2 and it will be okay, we'll win!
Marianne
I'm like that with magpies too, i even seen one on my driving test only to fail, passed second time though.
warm regards Susan
oooh but if you've ruined them they can't be that lucky can they, otherwise they'd have
escaped the clutches of yourself , LOL :D
I'm the same with magpies, but got a bit flustered when I saw 13 of the buggers flying one day
and I couldn't on earth remember the rhyme.....:D Serves me right eh!! LOL.
See one, blow them a kiss, see two salute...and I've always done it too, LOL.

Yes, I believe in magpies, I'm terribly superstitious much to my husband's disgust. I also have a pair of lucky socks (printed with horseshoes and 4 leaved clovers!) which I was wearing when my boy got his ticket and have worn to every show since until they started to fall apart. They now live in my show bag! And they used to spend the time between shows hanging over a model horse's back to recharge the luck (like horseshoes if they are upside down, the luck falls out!). I used to have a lucky lead but I lost it, which explains a lot. :-(

Ok Jeangenie any idears why you shouldnt miss 10 birds? and does the ryme only go up to 10.
Oh how could i forget this i have a lucky ring at crufts 2 years ago we were in ring 17 i won a good class of special yearling, then 2 years later back to ring 17 (this year) get a second im a hot limit dog class beating res CC winners and CC winners , i was sooo chuffed that day! scince then i have done fairly well!
Fiona
We always used to believe in Magpies but it doesnt seem to apply anymore! On the day Tiggy got her last ticket there was a dead one on the road!!!!!! If we see a cluster of them it usually means a RCC but if we see lots of two's they have to outweigh the number of singles. I have been known to make Ian stop the car so we can stop and look for the second one. :)
I also think I am unlucky to himself as whenever he goes on his own he usually does better. I have only ever been present for one of the CC's. Lets hope he does okay today with no lucky trousers.

If there are any 'lucky people' reading this thread would they like to handle my boy for me, we could do with some good luck! :-)
Well I am a dead person. Out of our last 6 shows we have got two RCCs one BOB one first and one second today we come 5 out of 5. I am now well and truly in the dog house and I am not talking dalmatian house. :(

My friend who trained us up for our 1st show gave me a brooch as good luck we did ok for beginners (we got placed anyway and i always wore it since) and then i took my jacket off for one show as it was soo hot and went into the ring without the brooch......
And we got 1st then BOB heheheheh
The dilema is what do i do now? wear it or not for future shows?

Lucy I ahve had 3 group 1 places and a BIS at open/premier open shows. None of the 3 dogs I have won with were mine!!! I have had RBIS, BOS, BPIS at club shows before with other peoples dogs! I have had 2 X RBB with my brothers aussie bitch (one club show one WPB open show) and 1 BB with my girl! Oh I've also won some nice PGB classes at club shows and a good BIS at a companion show with someone elses bitch.
I have never had ANYTHING with my main breed of my red and white setters. Best was this year, Best veteran Dog at club champ show...largish class and champions...however the dog is in my dad and Grandad's names!!!!! LOL Ohwell maybe one day I will do something of my own.... :D

Icequeen, feel free to get BIS or Group placings any time with my dog!!! :-D
Mygirl, I would say the brooch was still being lucky right up until you took the jacket off, which was presumably at the show, so it still counts! (I know, I'm mad!)

Lucy, You don't say things like that or I'll approach you at a show happy to handle your dog...and anyone elses :D I don't do gaurentees though, I have had my fair share of lasts and chuck outs... :D

Ok Rox your hired at richmond i no your free and you did offer! i told mum and she said many thanks for the stand in!
