My dog keeps biting without growling, and someone on another thread has suggested he could have eyesight problems.  How does the vet check a dogs eyesight?  Its not like he can read a chart is it.

He would need to go to a specialist, not your vet. They will have special lenses to see into the eyes.  What breed is it so that someone can advise re. the possible eye problems?  Also how old is your dog?

Hi Leann...they dialate the pupils with drops and check the various parts of the eye..if a dog is going blind it will be very easy to detect
