hi there i am having trouble mating my 2 1/2 year old bitch. we definatly saw her 1st day and have tried mating her on 12th and 14th day but she's having none of it! when she initially sees the dog her tail goes up and she's good as gold while he has sniff and a lick but as soon as he tries to mount her she goes nuts. 1st day we did it she popped a blood vessel in her eye she was so stressed! any idea's???

She probably isn't quite ready yet. Try her again in a couple of days. (My last litter was born after matings on days 18 and 20!)

yes just keep trying her every day or so, but you must also think that she may just not want to be mated. some bitches will do any thing not to.  my bitch was great on her first litter and was trying her hardest to get to my dog, than on her second litter she was after my dog again but when i took her to the stud she sore him and thought no i dont want any of him, where's my boy :D.
