You lot all got PMT this afternoon :)

As the owner/previous owner of little and large dogs I think they are a lot harder to house train.  They have a penatrating yap and never seem to get a sore throat.  My old JR yapped constantly for 5 hours when she had a operation at the vets.  I do think that a lot of the owners do allow small dogs to get away with more than they would big dogs.

At the end of the day if we all liked the same dogs then breeds would die out.  ;)

Variety is the spice of life as they say!

Could i just point out from the OP the comment about why get a big breed with a shorter life span when you could have a small breed with a longer life span.

But then you would miss out on owning another of our wonderful breeds if you thought like that.
I guess my heartache would come earlier on saying goodbye but boy i wouldn't swap the experience of owning my girl & my boy for the world. :)

(Actually that statement quite upset me) :(

Lol i don't know who would buy a dog based on life span , if i love the breed and love the tempermant then it doesn't matter if they live 20 months or 20 years. Anyone who judges on life span should be shot!

Theres a pure white golden retriever on my street whos going to turn 20 , he's got severe arthritis but he's still here!
