Hiya all,, firstly I would like to thank everyone who has given me advice before with Sassy and her pups, they will be 4 weeks old saturday time really has flown since they arrived. The question I have now is do all litters squabble? I am in the process of weaning them but none of the arguments they have are over food, it is when I put them back into their bed. Most of the time they will play and then fall asleep but other times its like a scene from 'west side story' *lol*. They form two groups and and grapple eachother. I've said before its many years since I have had a litter and maybe in the blue haze of memory I have forgotten that littermates do this.
thanks Sassysmam

Do all litters squabble? Yes! Their games always seem to involve trying to remove parts of each other's anatomy, with much growling and squealing! This is how they learn bite inhibition, and shouldn't be discouraged.

Thank you for your reply ,I thought maybe this would be the reason but wasn't quite sure. Have to admit it is quite funny to watch the disgusted looks on their faces when it is over

I think that they also sound much worse than they are too!!  My 5 week olds sound terrible, the girl that my mum and dad are keeping is really funny as she just stands over the others when they are fighting and looks down at them as if to say that's enough now.  She seems a real cool headed character and I think that we are going to have fun with her, well I hope so anyway, as long as she doesn't grow tooooo big :d
