Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Boxer heart testing in north west

Hi, wondered if you can help me. I wanted to get my boxer bitched heart tested and so rang the cardiologist nearest to me in Cheadle, Stockport but it seems he is leaving the hospital and is booked up fully until he leaves. I have looked on the list on Boxerunderworld and the other cardiologists are miles and miles away. The hospital cannot confirm that his replacement can go on the list so couldnt help me further.

I believe that some heart testing is done at shows - has anyone heard of this. Would it not effect the result if it is done in a busy/noisy environment. How can I find a show not to far away?

Any info gratefully received.
Thanks, Aimi.

The heart testing at shows is done at Boxer breed shows.
They normally have a room which is set away from the main show ring
so it is quieter than being in the full swing of the show.
I've had all of my Boxers tested at the shows (it's actually cheaper to be tested at the shows),
I don't think it's affected their grading in anyway.

The best thing to do is check with your local Boxer club which will probably be
the Mancunian Boxer club - e-mail Boxer@Quart.U-net.com
They will be able to advise when and where they hold testing sessions.

Kirstine :)

As if by magic I had an email this morning detailing the date of the mancunian open show with heart testing by Mr Simon Swift (the chap who is leaving) - so I'm very happy bunny now.
Thanks, Aimi x
