hi there, i have a new pup, she is nine weeks old and her name is sasha. she is very playful and friendly but she keeps chewing my husbands and my chin.  it is a very annoying habit and we don't know whether its a sign of agression or submission. we do stop her from doing it but want to know why she does it in the first place.

Thanks

This is perfectly normal - chewing is what puppies do! It's neither aggression nor submission - it's just fun! Have a read of this article for information on how to teach your puppy to be gentle.

She's basically just exploring with her mouth :P
I agree with Jeangenie and also with the article she's suggested.

When the adult dogs come back to the nest, the puppies will lick and chew at their mouths to get them to regurgitate the pups dinner - it's quite normal behaviour, even if undesirable in a dog that lives with humans.  Try not to push the pup away as this actually rewards the behaviour and may encourage her to do it again (infact it might be easier not to let her close enough to chew your chin in the first place....).  Do make sure you play with her in other more appropriate ways, and that she is getting enough food at appropriate intervals.
