Im going to have a patio made, quite big for my 2 dogs when they are in the garden. As I want to keep them off the grass, as when the winter comes it can look like a muddy football pitch.
I want it to look nice, any surrgestions?
I think patios look nice with a few simple potted plants or those tree things cut in the shape of a circle - can't remember the name! Is it topary or something?
But whatever you do, don't "fill in the spaces" with gnomes!!! Horrid things! :D
a few potted plants... good idea, just make sure that the dogs dont like the taste of them otherwise you'll have a row of empty pots :D
oh and dont forget to make sure there not poisonous to dogs. :-)

You might have a job on your hands - I try to screen my grass off every winter (I use orange road menders fencing with electric fence poles - I guess that's not the effect you're looking for ;)) but my oldest bitch simply 'won't go' on the patio and will try anything she can to get onto the grass - I ended up only screening off a certain area and leaving her a bit of grass in the end - after a few weeks in the spring, when the fence comes down, you wouldn't notice it.......
Hi,
I have just got the most amazing woven willow hurdles, they look lovely and you can get any size. You could use like a screen so you can move it. I have attached mine to an existing unattractive fence but if you can use them alone as a fence. Try www.willowfencing.co.uk or do a search on google.

Lilly
