If anyone is travelling to the Scotish show could they recommend accomodation that may still have vaccancies, as we had the caravan booked in , then my husband had a mild heart attack on the showground to Bournemouth, and although he is now home and better, he is not up to a 9-10 hour drive up to scotland and I do not tow the caravan that far on my own, as he will have to stay at home.

So I need a hotel room at short notice any thoughts anyone.

Sorry to hear about your husband but glad he's improving.  Have you tried the Holiday Inn Express at Strathclyde Park? It's slighty further north than Edinburgh but within easy reach of the showground and has excellent facilities for exercising the dogs.  Regards, Teri :)

There's a 24 hour call centre and individual receptions are manned all night too - might be worth phoning now in case you miss the last room!  Or you can try booking on-line too.  It's a popular spot for exhibitors and although it's one of the bigger Express franchises it does get pretty busy ;)

You'll be very lucky to find accomodation anywhere near to Edinburgh at the moment with the Festival going on, the nearest Travelodge I could find for friends of mine was Kilmarnock!

There are rooms available not cheap but they are available at this moment if you haven't got booked in yet onlinebooking
