My pup was sick last night and then again this afternoon although he fine in himself but he keeps making noises like hes going to be sick. Last time he did this was when he tried to eat a chew bar without chewing and once he was sick he was fine. Now I'm not sure what to do, ive had conflicting advice, one is to feed him as normal and see how he goes, another is to leave him off his food for he rest of the day in case its a bug and then see how he is tomorrow. I'll be trying to get him an appointment for the vets tomorrow if hes still not right but Im not sure how to go until then, I usually feed him at 6 when im having my dinner but i dont know whether to give him his feed or not.

Have you checked in his mouth to see if something is stuck - like a piece of wood if he chews on sticks?  He might also have kennel cough.

Since you don't know what's wrong, I would give him a very little bit of bland food  (steamed chicken) and see how he does with it.

He threw up a nice big chunk of sponge this morning. Problem solved (i hope), since then hes been fine! Still I'll keep an eye on him just in case, but he's still eating like a pig and playing with his favourite chew toy (his own poo) so pleasant!
