Just a quick comment on my dealings with Mr Partridge.
I bought a husky puppy from him in December 2004 on the understanding that the dog would be KC registered, as I wanted to start racing. I made numerous phone calls to both him and the Kennel club and after he lied to me on the phone I told him I knew both the dam and sire belonged to his ex wife and as one of the parents had a breeding restriction my puppy could not be registered. He admitted at this point that yes my puppy could not be registered but as part of his divorce settlement he would have the dogs signed over to him and the breeding restriction lifted. I tried to get my money back as the puppy was not what I wanted as I needed a working dog to race with the SHGB. In the end I had to go through the courts and get a CCJ against Mr Partridge. This process took several months and only when the bailiffs arrived did he try to sort the situation. To date (22 August 2005) I still have not had my money.
In my opinion think very carefully before dealing with this breeder!
I now have the dilemma of having had my puppy for around 9 months. Do I give him back or keep him as the family pet he has become?
im sorry for your situation but my brock is 8 months on sunday and i wouldnt give him up for all the money in the world ,i bought brock as i pet but since have decided to show him we enjoy it but even if he never gets anywere he is my pet and a member of my family in my opinion you should keep your dog and if/when you get your money back then buy another dog

He can still enjoy the training side of races and there are other organisation that hold races where the dog does not have to be registered.Don't remember what they are called at off the top of my head but some one on the shcgb will be able to tell you.
The thing is if the person has paid for a KC registered dog and not been told the truth then I must admit I'd be annoyed too! It sounds as though the breeder knew what this person wanted to do with her dog eventually so they should of never of sold the dog to her.
There are so many people these days that seem to be doing this more and more and people are paying top rate prices for pups which in the end their new owners aren't able to do with them what they bought them for in the first place.
I must admit I couldn't send back a pup that I'd had for that length of time, but you should get some compensation.

You could race with Absa if you register with them, in certain classes.
Personally would avoid Follytails like the plague, the dogs I've seen from there don't look too much like huskies to me! I think there is some 'creative' pedigrees there. I expect you paid a lot of money too. Mark it down to experience, join the breed clubs and get to know some REPUTABLE breeders.
Their variance in breeds is rather different too! Quite a few different ones looking at the website last night.
I must admit that I personally would never touch a breeder with more than 2, at a push if the dogs looked good, 3 different breeds.
