Spray black pepper all over garden except place you want your dog to poo.

Don't know if it works, i read it in a dog book.

Regards

This is very easy with puppies, but a bit harder with adult dogs. You basically need to go out with them EVERY single time. Take them out on a lead and hang around the area you want them to soil. You will need to take him out when you know he really wants to go and just as he is sniffing around just before crouching, say 'go busy' or whatever cue you want to put in it. When he has finished, give him a tiny bit of cheese/sausage/ham, etc (it has to be yummy though).

After a few weeks, the area where they have been going all the time will smell like a toilet to them and they will go there. Dogs are creatures of habit, so the fact that they have only gone there, means that it has formed into a habit.

As with anything, you will only win if you are consistent 100% of the time.

Having a cue for toiletting is one of the best and most useful cues I have taught my puppy. It gives me so much freedom, as she is with me in the car and going places a lot of the time and there are many, many times when I want her to go then and there as I know I won't be able to stop or take her out for another hour or so.

Hope this helps,
Patty
