Well, went for interview today - and I got it!!   I'm going to be working Tuesday & Wednesdays, pay is excellent boss is a nice lady - and I've said that I can't start until 20th Sept - so I've still got another 3 weeks at home, to get into a "routine" again.

Mind you - tights and high-heeled shoes were killing me by the time I tottered down to the bottom of the carpark, where I'd had to park the car - my tootsies have got out of the habit of being scrunched up after almost 2 months :D

Went into my "old" office & saw everyone - and actually joined a demonstration march, commemorating the murder/execution (depending upon which side you were on) of William Wallace, who was put to death 800 years ago today.   There was a good gathering (I would say a couple of hundred) Scots and some American Scots, wearing the kilt, carrying the Flag of St Andrews, accompanied by pipers who had marched from Westminster to Tower Green, where the execution had taken place, and they were marching on to Smithfield, to the site where he had been hung, drawn and quartered before having his head chopped off on Tower Green.

So there's a bit of history too ;)

Well done, Margot :) I won't let hubby see this, as he retires in 3 weeks and I want him to stay retired so he can do all the decorating :D :D

2 days a week is pretty good isn't it - I used to do that a couple of years ago :( soon having to go back to full time :( - have to remember to train hubby in the art of housework :D
