my dog pulls at shows so can i put a head collar on her or would the judge not like it

I don't think the Judge would like but I'm not aware of a rule against it.

I do know in Obedience classes you can't use a head collar. The KC might have something on there website about it.

Do you have any Ringcraft classes local to you?

If so, you should join up as I'm sure the trainer will help you sort out your dogs issue of pulling.

I've never seen a dog in a headcollar at a Breed show. I imagine it's one of those things that is not against the rules but will immediately mark you as a newcomer! How about leaving the headcollar on until just as the class is beginning, then stuff it in your pocket and hope for the best! :-)

Hi Em

Your best bet is to go onto the kennel clubs site and e-mailing them via their contact form - they are pretty quick to respond and will give you a deffinate answer as to whether head collars can be used or not :)

p.s Have you managed to get to any ringcraft classes yet or try the 'look at me' technique even when walking around your house ?
