I understand that you can get breakaway cat collars; can you get breakaway dog collars for wearing indoors?

Sadly, my girl is going blind, had her to the vets again this morning and we've been referred.  Vet is 99% certain it is PRA.  Just waiting on an appointment with the vet ophthalmologist. 

Anyhow the theory is to put a breakaway collar on Spender round the house with a bell on it so that Sheba can hear where he is.  I don't use collars round the house for safety issues but I would imagine a breakaway collar would be quite safe, anyone have any ideas?  Spenders a GSD so a breakway cat collar would be too small for him.

Yes all my dogs have breakaway tag-collars (whether i put it on them or not), I don't know if you have Petsmart in the UK but thats where i picked up mine. Also i have these fancy rip gauze collars , to much pressure applied and they just tear. Comes in i think 20 a package for about 5 bucks. Of course you'd have to track these down and get the tags off :p

Thanks guys, I've just ordered one from training lines.  They appear to be quite hard to get in the UK.  Now for the task of sorting out a bell.  I guess a cat's bell would work?

Cat bells would work but they get annoying hmm :p
