Just wondering if anyone can give some advice as to why my 10mth old SBT bitch bites the legs and ears of my 2yr SBT dog when they are out playing? Whenever I through a ball for my dogs they both chase the ball, well he does, she seems to be more intent on running alongside him and biting his ears and legs, ocaisonally bringing him down all together. I want this to stop but dont know how to stop her doing it, my dog is very tolerant of her and never bites her. He has adopted a method of just running for the ball and when she comes he sometimes just lies down to try and stop her doing it. They do playfight alot at home.
Any help much appreciated, thanks

It's just a young dog playing -I have several that do exactly the same. :)

Sounds quite normal to me if it doesn't bother him why do you want to stop it ?
All my Staffords play in the same way.

It's probably a technique she's developed to distract him - is she toy possesive in other circumstances?
My 14 wk GSd puppy does it all the time to my 7yr old GSD, and bites her ears as well, must admit the older one is not too keen, so I have to watch them like a Hawk, It is only playing though. I have seen lots of pups do this.
