My 6 month Golden Retreiver always seems to have the hiccups. He gets them at least once day. When he eats he sucks his stomach right in and its gone in seconds. Could this be why he gets hiccups so much? Is it normal? He's my first dog so I dont know if I'm making a fuss over nothing or maybe its something I should be worried about.

One of my old dals was prone to hiccups. She grew out of it and lived to be 15. I wouldn't worry.

My boy frequently gets the hiccups, overexcitement (did I just say that  ) gulping water/food and licking various parts of his anatomy all bring on the hiccups. Perfectly normal, don't worry ;)
