my friend has a very nice puppy which she bought to show now although she,s only 3 months old she has a ridge of hair which goes up between her eyes [ cows lick] is there anything she can do to keep it un-notieable[or nearly]?

In my breed such a quirk would not be an issue at all.   My eldest has one along her stop, as has my youngest her great great grandaughter.  It is neither a fault nor a virtue.

I do know that these ridges/cow licks are fronwned upon in Dobermanns and one with thsi woudl not be considrered in the ring.

You need to ask within your breed if there is a problem with this feature, if not leave it alone.

I have had both an Irish Setter and an American Cocker with this and it's not considered a fault in either breed. Both mine had them on the back of the neck.

I would think that is quite pretty.  I had a freind with Welsh Springers, and can't remember there being a problem with this, but I would ask a breed expert who judges.

Well if the puppy was bought for show, assuming the breeder is a show breeder, surely if the cowlick was a problem she would have suggested a different puppy. :)

i don,t think it was visable when she bought it or either hardly noticeable i wouldnt have thought it was written that it,s undesiable in the breed standard suppose it  depends on the judge on the day
