Hi guest you need to see what colour they are, if they're like your stud coluor they are red and if they're like your dams colour they are fawn. Whatever colour your pups are you can register them whether they are fawn, red or brindle they can still be registered as long as they're not black. So decide what colour you think they resemble and register them with the kennel club as any other litter. I hope this helps you abit.
warm regards Susan
Yes you have to register them as Red OR fawn, I know newly born pups can be very dark...how old are they now? wait as long as you can before registering them as when they get older, their colour will be more aparant.
Its usually only the backs that are darker...a good tip is to go by the belly, also the inside of the hind legs...these show the true colour.
All the best
Robbo
Hi robbo you can not go of what you said this may be true in some litters but all my adults are diffrent I have 2 dogs with lighter undersides and 2 which are the same colour on the undersides and I have just got 1 which has got red/fawn on the kc forms i am not saying you are wrong but I would go of the colour of the head at around 8 weeks
