Topic Dog Boards / Health / Urination holding

I have a 20 month old Bichon Frise female that "appears" to be holding urination for more than 12 hours. She has her last walk and pee around 8 PM and then does not relieve herself until after her 2nd morning walk around 8:30 AM. I am becoming concerned - is this normal? Any advise will be appreciated. There is no evidence of any "mistakes" in the house.

Bailey is a 2 1/2 yr westie who sometimes does this especially when its raining or my husband has been working nights. His last wee is about 10.30pm and he sometimes has to be forced out at 11am to go again then he pees for ages. He has been better as we now have a pup and he appears first thing as he knows there is food after out time. Maybe someone else will help as bailey doesn't always do it but can hold it.

Dylan did this when he was younger and away from home.  He lasted 27 1/2 hours when we went to Crufts (I was getting really worried about him!), now, luckily, he'll "go" when we are out!
