My parents bought their first boxer in 1970 - I was 7.  They are now in their 70's and on their fourth boxer.  My husband and I have had two boxers in the past, and although we both worked full time when they were puppies as my husband worked shifts we were able to juggle things so the dogs were not left for too long and by the time they were 7 and 2 I was at home full time being a mum.  We have been without our canine children since April 2001 and I now long for another Boxer!  My quandary is this - I now work part time, 21 hours over 3 days, although I can be quite flexible with this.  Leaving a puppy IMHO isn't the right thing - I know this in my head, although my heart is trying to tell me otherwise!  So I am considering rehoming as I think this may be the answer. Has anyone had any experience of rehoming a boxer, still quite a young one?

Could you get someone to dog sit while you are not there?
