Have just notice that my nearly three year old Chocolate Labrador bitch (Maiden) is still producing milk, she had her season in may and about six weeks later she started having a Phantom and prodced milk.

I don't make a fuss of her and treat her as normal and take her out for walks twice a day but she is still making milk and getting more down and sorry for herself.

Anyone got any idea's on what I can do, or is it just a case of give her more time and not fuss?

How long should I leave it for before getting treatment from my vets?

i would take her now as it cant be comfy for her - my other girl is phantoming at the mo and is off to the vets on friday bless her....

my previous Rottweiler also had three phantom pregnancies for which meds were given by the vets but i was advised (rightly or wrongly) that if i wasn't going to breed from her it might be better to have her spayed....which i did and thankfully no more milk, nest building etc.,
