Well, Barney was 2 last week and he is the best doggie in the world :) its hard to imagine what life was like before him.  Anyway, when we picked Barney up from the breeder at 10 weeks old we decided that in 4 years time we would return for puppy no.2, a bitch called Libby.  The breeder has a year and a half waiting list so its time to start planning!

Last year we moved back up to Scotland (sooner than expected) so we are now 13 hours drive away from Barneys breeder :(  I am starting to wonder if I should look up here for a breeder, I don't want to show Barney or Libby, so does it really matter where I buy her from, as long as I find a good breeder?  If I go back down south for Libby, its such a long journey for a 10 week old puppy and i wouldn't be able to choose my puppy and go and visit her - breeder doesn't have a computer.

  I think I'm just waffling on here, not really sure what I'm asking, just a wee bit confused at the moment.

Why don't you ask your breeder if she can recommend someone closer to you.  I am sure she will understand the reason you are unable to go back to her.
