Hobbies, you have time for those lol. Also from Bonnie Scotland :D :D
yeh worked hard for years can see early retirement not far away with the boat.
I havent had a holiday in 20 years apart from local weekends cruising on our own boats.
I want a big holiday. The next ten years would be good. Were going to live on a boat based at loch goil and sail the west coast and western isles for a couple of years and then hopefully the med for a couple of years and then home.
Im in Glasgow just now I was born here then lived up the mountains in argyll for 12 years.
Only came back to glasgow for 12 months to sell of some property . I hate the city now.
You from the east or west. West is best Ha Mick

Beat you too it :) took early retirement 3 years ago. live just outside Lockerbie,so yes, that would be West :D Mother and her family originated from Glasgow. Prefer country living myself ;)
Oh! to live on a boat, not practical with 8 dogs lol. Would love a barge though :)
I was considering a barge but I will have a lot more safe deck space for the dogs on a trawler which is what we are chasing.
I just need to escape from present life now as its going a little stale now with the kids 22 and 18 getting on with their life I feel a bit redundant at 45 now. No real purpose. Sold my house and a couple of propertys we had and a delivery business in Dunoon. I have acouple rented now and that should be enough to live on with no council tax no bills etc.
I wouldnt pay the money for a house now. I can get a 2 bedroom lounge kitchen and bathroom boat for less than a 1 bed flat in the worst areas of glasgow. SO IM FREE. feels strange though.
Hi I retired last october, hobbies ermmmmm Dogs dogs and more dogs on a serious note im into gardening keeping fit and at the moment renovating my home

My hobbies are horseriding and dancing. Its so difficult to do at the moment though because I moved into a house with my boyfriend and I also work full time and then theres the visiting of the parents every week to keep them sweet..... it just never ends!!

I live and breathe staffys at the moment - thats about it :D
I took a career break from the SAS over 1 year ago and have no intention to return!! My hobbies now are the dogs and OH 24/7 and wouldn't change a thing :).
I also love cooking and regained my love of driving which I lost after driving up and down the Inverness - Perth - Edinburgh road or Aberdeen - Edinburgh road most days of the week which amounted to over 45000 a year :(
Here's to early retirement and welcome to a new world.:)
By the way I am 48 :) :)
My main hobby is irish traditional music, listening to it and playing it,I play Irish tenor banjo, mandolin and Irish whistles.
And of course the thing that takes up the most time is my Akita Inu....wouldn't be without her.
Hi .....hobbies..... mmm i remember those, had a few before getting my crazy malamute.:D reading, sewing , x stitch, gardening anything creative really ive tried alsorts from time to time. funny how one question has made me stop and think just how much time a pup (7mths)can take up, the only thing i have time for now is a bit of reading. :-) never mind atleast next year i'll have a new hobby when we can take to the woods, me and kai, and do abit of rig pulling.
im in scotland but a bit higher up than you guys, and im on the east side ( moray ) :D

Dogs ,:-D caravaning. I am still in Fife. Think Glasgow is struggling to be honest Mr Murph , population still below a million. Think it needs some huge regeneration for the people.
Hobbies....used to have time for them... :) Actually I like x-stitch , puzzle books and reading. (Usually done at work

)
I live in the east of Scotland now (born in Fife!) At least we don't have the midgies :) Wouldn't live in any other country ;)

Not much time for hobbies!! I am far too busy with Son, OH and 5 month old puppy!! :D I am interested in travel and i like to read. (when i get a chance ;-) ) I am from Scotland too!! :D Highlands, a lot of my family are from Fife and my Mum, Dad and sister live in Perth. :-) Its good to see there are a lot of other Scots on here! :D :D :D

A fellow Glaswegian :P I'm in the North of the city, just edging out onto green belt on one side and still keeping daughter within easy reach of a reasonable cost taxi fare to the social highlights ;)
Mainly have my dogs as a hobby - I show them in breed (less often than most has to be said) and am a slave to their every whim 365 days a year. As a true Scot born and bred really should be saying in vague tones "I do a bit of this, a bit of that ...." :D
Teri
hello Teri. Anniesland. Lock 27. Thats where I am I can probably wave to you.
We used to renovate old property and let and sell them on. So have lived almost everywhere. Bearsden Partick were from whiteinch originally. Also lived Dumbarton dunoon ardentinny etc etc etc. Fed up with houses and wont pay the over inflated prices now.

Lock 27 - pass it regularly (

drink - never :D ) I'm occasionally to be found on the ATC forecourt admiring their latest arrivals and trying to visualise squeazing the pack into a SLK :P
Can't see us moving unless we decided to relocate to warmer climes in our dotage. The west end was the stomping ground of my youthful misdemeanours as well as those of my OH (he stayed at Anniesland X, me in Cleveden) so who knows, we may even have met in a previous life! My own daughter just graduated from Glasgow - I'm now making it my mission to persuade her to get a job :)
House prices are scary now - we've offered to sell our daughter her bedroom to get her foot on the first rung of the property ladder but that Uni education has paid off and she's not falling for it! Teri
Hello Billy Bob. Im into a bit of folk music Irish as my family came from there. I play guitar main influence john prine.
I was a roady in my younger years for several glasgow bands. I do guitar rebuilds for musicians etc. My son has his own band now hes going to uni for music. Quite chuffed as its what I would have wanted given the chances back then. I was told you cant be a pop star are you stupid. Its a joiner or spark. A good trade and not a dirty one.
That was my careers advice. Never done them either.
Good to see other musical folks on here and plenty o scots

Hi Mick :)
Horses, horses and more horses. I have 7:
Splash - 16.1hh Irish Cob x Clydesdale
Joshua - 16.2hh Irish Draught x TB
Smudge - 16hh Irish draught mare
Shah - 15hh Arab mare
Zamara - 15.2hh Arab mare
Grace - 13.2hh Arab x
Maddie - 12.2hh Welsh mare
I love them all and I spend a fortune on them!

Ive got 12 horses (I think: Flint, Flash, Tommy, Bess, Chocie, Sam, Pebbles, Blarney, Magic, Crunchie, Annie, Sherry, Cocoa). I dont get time to see them though so we have some kids come up to the yard who cant afford to buy their own horses and they ride some of them for me. Its such a help. These kids enjoy it too cos they get designated a horse and they have to look after that particular one. However, some of them get a bit catty like when asked to pick up poo in the field they say "I should only pick up my horses poo!!"
Dogs!
I also have quite a few other hobbies.
- Website Design
- Drawing (dog portraits in pencil mainly. I aim to start up a little business when I'm more experienced.)
Click for example- Computer graphics (Of dogs of course :D)
Click for example- Photography (Mainly of, yep you guessed it, dogs :D)
Click for example- Playing internet sim games (showdog.com and furry-paws.com)
Just in case admin thinks I'm advertising - I'm not! I don't offer my art/photography to anyone :D

WOW Those are brilliant cutewolf!!! :D :D :D Pity you dont offer your services to anyone, i would love some of my pup!! ;-)

You should definately do it!! I adore the pencil drawing!!! :D I have been looking for someone to do something similar for me, but havent found anyone good enough.
I wish i was more creative....but i dont have the patience!! ;-)
Hey some drawing. want commision

Hiya
I love horses but don't earn enough to own my own at the moment, so I have to suffice with working and teaching in a yard, where I get to be around/ride whenever I choose. I also enjoy reading, music and of course my main hobby is my Crazy Setters. Keevy and Brianna are Irish Setters and Maddie, Ellie and Bronwyn are Gordon Setters. I also have two girls aged 9 and 11 who take up lots of my time, but I wouldn't have it any other way :D :D
My sister is the Musician in our family, she plays guitar and sings and is currently living in Wales, doing lots of plugin and play nights hoping for a bit of a break :D
I'm in South West Scotland and wouldn't want to live any where else.

Apart from the dogs (showing and obedience): cats (showing and breeding, they're no good for obedience!!) I also read a *lot*. But other than that I'm a writer. I'm not in paid work at the moment, do a few articles here and there, also breed notes, and have had I think it is 13 (or something like that, might be 14) books published a few years ago -but they're not "proper" books, they're just books on pet care. (All non fiction in other words.) I am however currrently trying to write a fiction book. If I ever get it finished I'll have to see if I can get it published!

I'm a sports guy. Football was my profession till i tore my anterior cruciate ligament and decided my career was over, physical therapy sucks! it's still one of my hobbies though and i play with the kids in our yard as much as i can!
I can draw if stick-men count and like trying to cook!
Mainly dogs, specifically clicker training, agility and flyball. WHn i'm not doing that its horse riding, but i don't have enough time to own both a horse and dogs so have to stick to just having lessons and borrowing the odd horse.

Trying to make "decent canine citizens out of my moronic Briards".....lifelong, ongoing "hobby" there I think :P
Used to love pencil drawing of my dogs but haven't managed that in a while.
Reading, boring I know, but sometimes necessary to improve the mind.
Live near Stirling, would love to take up hill walking, when life allows ;) And generally keeping away from the GP, as we like and have the pleasure of our own space ;)
In other words, I am antisocial, hate people (for good reason), have become hermitised and cherish my time with my dogs.
Hello pooch so I aint the only one that is less than impressed with todays society and prefers to be on my own with my dogs and only people I choose to be with.

I have taken up Thai Kick-Boxing and i love it. Im not very creative I can draw stick men thats it.
Mary
i think i must be boring !! no real hobbies, dont drink , love been in countryside with my dogs, nature, & myself !!
I wont be messing with you then dont want beaten up. LOL
Good for you the kick boxers do look fit.

No need to worry Mr Murph I am not very aggressive anyway I have bright pink gloves what better colour to get hit with :d. I have had a lot of negative comments from people like I cant do it as I am only 5' nothing and that it is nothing more than street fighting or that its a mans sport. Anyway I dont really care what other people think, Im really enjoying myself.

I like making cards, decorating, gym, reading and of course spending time with my dog Jazz.

In aproximate time spent order: Cooking, dogs, walking, driving fast cars (normally with dogs in the back), shooting. Some how they all involve the dogs to a greater or lesser extent and hobbies that dont like sewing have gone by the board!
