Topic Dog Boards / Behaviour / Aggressive dog update
- By Missthing [gb] Date 17.08.05 20:29 UTC
The previous thread was 'Is this dog too aggressive to keep?' as my StaffyX bitch took *very* emphatic action against small dogs that issued a threat and then ran back to owners.

Lots of different advice was given, all well meant I'm sure, but the stuff about good recall struck home and
(cometh the hour, cometh the woman) I had just received the Suzanne Clothier book ('Bones...' ) which took the relationship to another level for me at least.

The problem seems to be cured  (famous last words...) but we have had no repetition. My 'dog raydar' is considerably sharpened and she seems to want to keep my good opinion as a result.

Many problems are aired on this site without us ever knowing the outcome so I thought I'd just show that the advice can work and there is hope.

Thanks to all who assisted in the search for knowledge,

Linda

Great News Linda - hope this is a bright new start and progress continues at a steady rate :)

You're quite right, we often don't get to hear how things work out from posters so thanks a lot for the update and it will of course help others in varyious current dilemmas realise that hard graft and perseverance really will pay off.

WELL DONE YOU :)   Kind regards, Teri
