Just feeling a little fed up at the mo :-(
I've paid a good wad of money for a course that starts on sunday & there is precourse work to be done, i keep sitting at it looking at it & reffering to the referance book but its not going in - well its going in but coming out again !
I've tried to use color & have used different pencils for the right area's but its still no good.
I'm just feeling a bit fed up & lost & keep thinking its going to be a huge waste of money & i'm never going to pass :-(
I feel completely thick & to be honest i feel as though i really dont want to go on the course now at all.
Sorry for moaning but i think the dogs have had enough of hearing me ramble on & my poor kids ....... they are taking cover !!!!! lol
Im sure your not thick, sometime things jsut dont go in thats all, I have that problem alot of the time and Im one of the cleverest people I know :D (says me) :D
Put the books away have a break and dont force yourself, set yourself a little routine by which you do an hour or so a day, even leave it now until the morning and your more likely to be in the right frame of mind.
GO stand in front of the mirror and tell yourself how beautiful, clever and wonderful you are!
What course is it by the way?
Aww thanks Blondi :D
I am now using diversion tactics & champdogs is great for that isnt it :D lol
I need to learn the skeletal system of the dog ( used to know it off by heart years ago when i did my NVQ, but now cant remember any of it lol ) I also need to know all superficail muscles, deep muscles, how they all interconect with each other & which bits make each other work :-/
I think i've got myself into a state for nothing, i just know that there are going to be some really experianced & accodemic people there & its worrying me lol .
I should think it'll all turn out ok & i'll try your suggestion :D
Thanks Blondi :D

Hi Stanley - Your post brings back memories for me. I was in the same position as you last year. I started a course and then wondered what I had let myself in for, ie how was I going to fit all the work in with everything else that I have to do (work, children etc) and just the thought of having to learn to write essays again filled me with terror. My coursework looked completely unachievable before I started and I envisaged huge amounts of work to be done. The way I tackled it was, I set up a "timetable" of when I would do my coursework and let the family know that this was when I couldn't be disturbed. I tried not to look too far ahead at the work involved and just concentrated on each task and completed this before starting on the next (it would have been very easy to have picked out all the simplest parts of each units and done these first!). When I completed the work I was so proud of my achievement and I actually finished the course in a much shorter time period than I had thought. If you have a tutor/assessor for your course, don't be shy to ask for help or encouragement and also talk to fellow students - then you'll realise that you're not on your own. Good luck and don't get down - it WILL be worth it in the end. Regards
Hi Loz :D
I'm just panicking a little as i have a full days work on thursday & friday so it leaves me today, weds & half of sat as i have to do a few things before sunday when i have to be there at 7.30 am !! lol
I do have a contact number but i daren't ring it .... yet not before the course starts lol , i tihnk its fear of the unknown lol , i'm going to have 1/2 an hour to an hour break & then try again :D & if i do a couple of hours later on i can reward myself with taking the dogs out for a blast up the lanes :D
Thanks guys :-)
Oh wow! I was thinking of doing a course on Canine Anatomy and physiology but havent gotten around to it as yet.
Maybe a good why of remebering is naming the bones and muscles and having a feel whilst your playing, walking or stroking the dogs, its a more practical way of learning.
It helped when I did human anatomy!
Don't get down!!!
I have done a lot of studying since leaving school and always find that it takes a while to remember how to learn, si Im sure it is just practice. Also find it helpful to break things down in to nice small bits, so personally i would start with the nose and work slowly backwards over the next few days :) Im sure that you will soon get back in to the swing of things and I would put money on there being at least a couple of people in the class who havnt got everything off pat for the start of study.
