Hi,
I've been looking at pomeranians lately and am thinking of getting one. I saw in the ad-mag-(a selling magazine which also has breeders.)an advert for 'little rascals' which it says are liscensed breeders and petshop. They sell quite a range of dogs , one being poms and it sounds okay like you get a free puppy pack, 6 weeks free insurance and it says they are regulay vet checked and wormed up to date. Do you think these sound like reputable breeders.
Thanks.

Nooo!!! They are most definitely NOT reputable breeders! It sounds like a puppy farm/puppy superstore. Reputable breeders do NOT breed a range of breeds, are NOT licensed as pet shops (you only need a dog breeding license if you breed more than 5 litters a year, and very few reputable breeders do) and few advertise in the ad papers. These puppies could have all sorts of health and behavioural problems. You should contact the Kennel Club for details of the Pomeranian breed clubs, they are the ones that can put you in touch with reputable breeders that really care about their dogs. All these people care about is making money.

I'm afraid not. Very few reputable breeders have more than a couple of breeds - to have many different breeds suggests puppy farming or dealing.
Your best bet is to contact the breed clubs listed at the bottom of the
Breed standard and ask for details of reputable breeders. Good luck.
They will be badly bred and more than likely be the bigger version like Sharon Osborne has, which are nothing like the breed should be.
How can they be well bred if they have a number of breeds. These pups will more than likely be brought in from somewhere else, it would be questionable if they are full Pomeranian's also, especially as the breed average is 2 and unfortunately at the moment you are more than likely able to get gold-dust more easily than a well bred Pomeranian.
It is well worth the wait for a well bred one, rather than go somewhere like this. Unfortunately I cannot advise you of any breeders with available pups at the moment.
please please please don't go there it's a bout half an hour from me it is a puppy farm!! we brought a dog from there and had him for a week. she had sold him to us with parvo virus he died. we tried to get our money back but they became aggressive please please do not go there it is not worth the heart ache.
