Isn't it amazing some pictures that you find on the Internet. On a webpage there's only one that is a good example of the breed which is supposed to be a Pomeranian. One definitely looks like a Japanese Spitz or a Samoyed, hard to tel which because you can't tell the size of it on a photograph!!
Thought I'd better not post the website address here although I was dying to, but if anyone wants to see a page on what not to look for in a Pomeranian PM me!!!
I just wonder how much the people who own half of these dogs paid as many of them do not resemble the breed in a good light at all.

Mmm - just goes to show - what one person calls a breed can be so way out!!!
We've just realised this in the last year - 8 years ago, we played "swapsies" when Purdey had her puppies, and we had 1 of Purdey's sister's litter (Purdey didn't have a black bitch for us to keep, and to us the ONLY colour for a lab is black (ducking under the parapet now!). When we collected her, No 1 son fell in love with the runt of the litter & he had her, and was told, there and then that there would always be an endorsement on her - which he fully accepted.
Sadly, Ebony was stolen from us at just over 18 months, so we never did breed from her, as we had wanted, and, 18 months ago, we got Freya, who has a lot of Purdey's breeding in her. Now, we can see exactly why Gypsy had the endorsements on her, when you compare her to Freya - too short a nose, ears not quite right, tail - a bit - well - you know! Taken on her own, she's not a bad little bitch - but put her beside Freya - and she's not!
