We are panicking as we dont no wat to giv her! she will need a feed 2 nyt! she has got bad diahorrea! feel a bit daft really!she is far too young to have left her mum isn,t she? please help????????????

Yes Koren - she is really too young to have left her mother.   Even if she wasn't feeding her anymore, she should be learning her socialisation from her mother/litter brothers and sisters!

What was the breeder feeding her on?    However, I feel that a breeder who lets a puppy go at 5 weeks is probably not the best source of information for you :(   Tinned puppy food is going to be far too rich for her.   Tonight, give her some readybrek, if that is what she has been having, and tomorrow, try and find a vet that is open, or a pet superstore that will sell Pedigree Puppy porridge (or some other puppy weaning food).   You are going to have to wean her yourself - get welpi from the pet superstore, or failing that, goats milk (far more easily digested than cows milk).

Also, get yourself a copy of The book of the Bitch, and The perfect puppy - they should help you.  Come back here, and don't be afraid to ask us.    A puppy at 5 weeks is really far too young to leave its mum, but now you have her (and I'll bet she's a little sweetie) you need to know how to look after such a tiny baby.

Regards

Margot

It is normal for bitches to start to stop feedign at five weeks, but they wil still go in and feed them cn even if they no longer feed them they look after them.  A puppy of this age should be with it's mother and littermates.

I would get the pup checked at the vets as she sounds ill.  Has she been wormed?

You may not have time to wait until Monday - puppies can go down hill VERY quickly :(  Please contact your vet for advice asap.

I totally agree, you need a vets advice.  DO NOT give her cows milk as this could cause more problems. Mashed potato without milk or butter would be good or ready brek made with water perhaps.

At 5 weeks old she should be on 5 small meals a day ... that would be the same even if she was being 'topped up' by mum as well.
