Hi just found this site, Our dog keeps shaking his head on and off for 6 months.
Been to vets 3 times and been given canaural but only works for a short while.
I have read the posts for Thornit sound fantastic but where do I get it from

Thankyou,
I have just ordered some, can't wait for it to arrive I hate to see my rottie upset.
I have spent around £100 at vets and it still hasn't worked which made us feel as though we havn't done enough to help him.

Thanks again Denise.

Does anyone have the instructions for thornit. Bought some a little while ago and now I cant find the literature that came with it.
Thanks

I just pop a pinch into each ear!

I've known several people whose dogs have had ongoing ear problems which had been effectively banished by regular use of Thornit.

I knew that bit but how often and do you need to clean it out after a few days or anything
- By jackyjat [gb] Date 13.08.05 07:52 UTC
I don't Star, they are amazingly self-cleaning when using Thornit Regularly.  I would perhaps worry that pushing anything inside the ear to clean would push gunge further into the ear canal.  A bit like us adults not supposed to use cotton wool buds.  I guess a general wipe around the outside with a tissue wouldn't hurt.

I haven't ever heard of anyone getting problems from Thornit although I hesitate to say it's harmless.

Nothing in your ear smaller than your elbow :d  Well that's what one of my ENT consultants says :d

I've used Thornit and I don't rate it, but hey, maybe my dogs rather strange!  I know many people who swear by it.  My dogs ear is still driving me round the bend though and him too.

Once you put a pinch in do you massage the ear ?

Moose has iffy ears at the mo and was considering getting some :)

Yes Lucy, it makes a perfect excuse for a good ole ear rub, which mine love!  They then give a big shake afterwards!
