I always get my dog a Souper Size Nylabone to chew on,and in the past have never had any problems, untill Saturday.
I bought her a new one on Saturday and once I got home I give it to her, within about 2 minutes she had broke of several large pieces and was choking on one of them.
Later on I sent an E mail to Nyalabone in the US along with pictures of the bone and pieces and also a copy of the receipt,I am still waiting on a reply.
This must have been a defective product as we have never had any problems before.
Thank goodness you hadnt left her alone with it!

:O never found my dogs a nylabone they liked but had a
huge red dental one that I gave my neighbour for his Patterdale but he's only given it whilst they are present
Mine had a nylabone, it said wants th end are well worn to bin them within 5mins the ends were gone so i havent bought another one since.
Just got a reply to my e mail from their customer services manager, she asked how Suki was and said that they had forwarded the pics I sent to their moulding manager, she was very apologetic and also said that they would be sending me some Nylabone products from their warehouse in New Jersey.......just hope what they send is OK!!

Thanks.

This happened to me already in the late 1980's and I gave Nylabone the pieces then! Seems they haven't really changed much....... My dog was only a Golden and I used the size for even bigger dogs.

I hate nylabones , my dogs always liked artificial bones with the "chewy" sensation not hard as rock ones i see :(

wow i didnt realise nylabones were dangerous! I thought they were solid plastic? we bought a chocolate flavoured one for our rottie, its not very big to be honest, but its hasnt broken. I will be extra vigilant in future
thanks
my almost 7 mth malamute kai has just managed to chew an end completely off his nylabone only yesterday, thankfully i managed to retrieve all the pieces before he swallowed them. yet another "toy" that has been destructed lol
i'm sure he thinks he's a lab as he is obsessed with trying to eat everything he finds no matter what it is lol :D
