I would like to use my dog, a working cocker, for stud but haven't a clue where to start. I have looked at some of the threads on the forum and see terms used such as "Endorsing", "Green Forms" and "Contracts". Can anyone offer any advice as to how I should proceed, the pitfalls if any, and any issues I should be aware of? (T. Waudby tww0564@hotmail.com)

For one he has to be KC registered for the things that you've mentioned.  I don't know whether they are tested but seeing that there is a problem of glaucoma in the breed should think that he needs his eyes testing for this by a specialist and also hips scoring.

Do you work your dog?  If so maybe someone in the working fraternity would be interested rather than the show world as of course they are quite different types.
