I had to take my oldest daughter (23 years old) to hospital at 6.30 this morning. The right side of her face was paralysed. She's had headaches for a couple of days and now can't move or feel her face. She's having to go for a scan to see if there is something there, or just a virus. Apparently there is a virus that causes paraysis for a short while and people can recover up to 95% of normal feeling. She was supposed to be moving house this week, too. Looks like that will have to wait. ;(

I'm just home to see to the dogs (and get a bite to eat ;) - no breakfast :D )

It could be something called Bells Pausy (excuse spelling)
the one side of the face drops,my dad had it and my sisters father in law and both recovered
in a short time.

Try not to worry (easier said than done) but if it is bells pausy most of the time it does come right.

Thanks everyone. We are back home now. Apparently it was caused by severe migraine! Her face is almost back to normal now and the doctor has decided she should go on beta blockers to stop it happening again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beta Blockers will keep her calm.......Thank god it was nothing serious :-)

I had a similar thing several years ago although mine was the whold of one side right down to my toes they thought I'd had a stroke thank god it wasnt and was caused by a migrain. I was also put on beta blockers but it was also recomended that I take low dose asprin. mine cleared up quickly and although I still have the odd attack its never been as bad.
