This is terrible, but I have to do some college work away from home for 4 days, and this is the very first time that I have been away from baby yankee Pippin overnight :( I know he is happy at home with mum and rest of family, but I feel terrible for leaving him and even if its only been today, I miss him sooooo much! :( It is nearly 10pm, and this is usually his 'bed-time'....when I put him into his basket inside his crate (in kitchen with crate door open) and put his favourite toy (large toy dog size of himself!) in basket with him and he chews his toy and 10 mins later he is asleep! Am just so sad that I wont see him for these next few days, I never thought I could miss him so much and feel so guilty for being away from him. :(
Has anyone else felt like this?

Everytime I had to leave my boys I worried & got stressed out, checking almost hourly LOL they of course were being spoilt rotten & not missing me a bit   :(

So new baby will be pet passported so when I go to Holland or Germany he will go with me !

Hi Moonmaiden, I am the same! I have been ringing home all day asking how he is and what hes doing and if he had his dinner and his little walk! And I confess to having just got off the phone...he is now fast asleep with his toy, he was a good boy and didnt cry or try and escape up the stairs  like the other night! :) I am very proud of him for not giving mum a hard time!!!! :)
Pet passport is a great idea, that way you can take him with you and not worry! :)

I've only had him 4 days but he is very much my dog unlike the cavaliers who are anyone's ;) as long as they get fed My BC's have always been very close to me so this time I decided I will be able to take him with me

That will be great! There is nothing better than having your dog by your side! :) I have had Pippin for just 2 months now, but cannot remember what it was like to be without him!! House has been taken over by all his things, not to mention my car being converted into the 'Pippin-mobile' :D , and the garden has been stripped of all potted plants and been transformed into a 'puppy playground'!
And its wonderful! :)

I can sympathise, I am working  on my stand at a show all weekend and OH is away, so I decided that the fairest thing for the dogs would be to go in to kennels for 48 hours. They love going and gallop in. But I spent all last night tossing and turning worrying if they were warm/ comfy/ being kept awake by other dogs etc. And the house is just SO empty with only the cats for company.

Pippin is adapting well to being away from me....apparently he has had a great time with mum and 'helped' with washing, drying, ironing and hoovering!!!! as well as his play time in the garden! only one more day and I will be reunited with my special boy!!! :)
