Can anyone let me know the opening times for the W & B Show? I can't seem to get onto their website.
Thanks
Greg

It's tomorrow in Windsor Great Park - it's a gathering for families and dogs, lots of fun things for the dogs to do, workshops, think tanks etc for the owners....... It's usually a good day out - this is the 3rd one I think, and they've moved to a bigger show ground because it's been so popular :)

Thanks Digger.
We went to the first one at Ascot race course and enjoyed it, but couldn't make last years. We enjoyed it, and our Wheaten enjoyed meeting lost of other dogs as well! It was very busy, so it's good to know they've moved on to a bigger area. Weathers looking good for tomorrow so it should be a good day out.
I went to the first one, it was good. Couldn't got to it last year, and I totally forgot about it this year! I doubt I could go now at such short notice (don't drive).
But have fun everyone who's going!

I'm back (after having to wait 30 mins in the car park to get out - car marshall letting two cars out at a time from our queue, and another one standing watching the traffic roll past not actually *doing* anything......)
I think it was a good day - ground was a little uneven :( There seemed to be more dogs there than last year - I think that was because it was cooler (boarding on the damn chilly!) A very succesful day for the Puppy School stand anyway :)
Sorry I wasn't able to meet you again this year, we have too much on with getting the house ready. Was the show good? anything interesting happen?

To be honest I didn't get to see much, as I had to come home early to let Big Dave get off to work :( I only spent £6 - on a Kong Jumping Jack chewy toy........
Ah well - there's always next year :P

I went to a fun show yesterday, took my youngest only as he is due his PAT dog assessment soon and thought it would help. Got loads of ppl feeding him titbits while making him take it gently (a few mths ago he would take off and snatch it mid-air, removing half your hand!), worked on lead walking without headclollar and he was fussed by everyone who 'tried' to walk past him unnoticed! He was placed in every novalty class I put him in and came home with a 4th, 3rd, 2x 2nds and a 1st for best rescue.
I was also approached by a woman who asked why he was not entered in the breed classes. I told her he was not 100% up to breed classes, no full white collar and he is slighty smaller than the breed standard height, she said it didn't matter and she saw collies no where near as good as him at open shows, which I found very confusing. Surely if a dog is not upto the breed standard he shouldn't be in an open breed show? She seemed really disappointed when I politely told her I had no interest in breed showing and besides he is not registered for breed, only on the working register. :)
My neighbours have just got back from the show, their rescue Willow won first in best second chance, and 3rd in prettiest girl (bitch). My neighbour said she was in tears when she won. Sounded like a brill day I will defo go next year.
